During Market Places trip to Stockton-on-Tees, 42 children from local primary schools including St. Bede’s Academy and St. Cuthbert’s RC Primary School came along and took part in the Educational Tours at the Continental Market. The children met traders from all over the world including France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Greece and China where the children learn more about the different cultures and every child can sample all of the wonderful foods on offer.
Children from St Bede’s Academy were taking part in Business and Enterprise Activities and even made us beautiful posters of the market as the tour feedback has been fantastic as all the children enjoyed meeting the friendly traders and stating they would love to attend the tour again as it was so much fun!

It wasn’t just the pupils who enjoyed the tour, the feedback from the teachers was very positive stating how friendly the staff were as the tour was useful for pupils who now have a better understanding of Business and Enterprise in the community. Not only that, all the teachers said they would recommend the tours to other schools.
