Blackburn market is not closing - it is simply moving to a new home. It is still open for business until March 2011 ! The countdown has begun to the opening of the new Blackburn market in the heart of the new £66m Mall shopping centre in March next year. It will be based in the ground floor of the Mall along Ainsworth Street and Church Street. For an exclusive look inside the new market, log onto
An open day was held for existing traders in June so they could see the inside of the new building for the first time. It was an opportunity for them to see where their new stalls will be. See what they had to say! The fit out programme is now underway, with the floor and the underground heating being the first to be done. The new market will feature a total of 127 stalls selling quality produce, food and non-food. Traders are being offered three months rent free and a financial support package for the initial stall fit out.
