Visits to Borough Market and Camden Lock Market rounded off an outstanding WUWM/NABMA Conference. Borough Market has long been hailed as one of the UK’s premier food markets and delegates were able to see a wide range of food products on sale together with the iconic atmosphere that makes Borough Market so special. Members were given a history of the Borough Market and its plans for further development by Chris Denning, Markets Manager, followed with a tour of the Market. The second market, Camden Lock, is of a very different nature and members were able to spend time around the various stalls and sample some of the qualities that make London markets different. In 2012 there is no doubt that Borough and Camden Lock will make a significant contribution to the enjoyment of visitors who come to celebrate the Olympics.
