Forthcoming NABMA Training

NABMA is pleased to announce that following the success of its Training Course on Open Markets - The practical Guide, and the fact that the Market Halls Course on the 11th August is fully booked, two more training days have been arranged.
The cost is £100.00 per individual course with a reduction to £75.00 if the same individual attends both courses.
A number of reservations have already been made for the Practical Guide to Open Markets, so Authorities wishing to send staff will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Open Markets – the Practical Guide

This course will be on the wide ranging subject of open markets and deal with setting up, dismantling for street markets, layout etc for fixed markets, road closures, refuse disposal, services, rent collections etc.
The Lecturer will be Allan Hartwell - Director of Market Place Europe, who has over 30 years experience in organising and controlling Retail Markets.
Dennis Wardle, the NABMA Training Officer will discuss licenses, agreements, rules and regulations, and then provide a session on Street Trading. This will examine rules, regulations, prosecutions, licensed streets and prohibited streets. It will also reflect on pedlars and the known problems that they can cause.

Retail Market Halls – the Practical Guide

This course will explore Retail Market Halls looking at letting's, security, refuse removal, cleaning, fire risk assessments, other regulatory requirements etc. It will also explore leases, tenancy agreements, rating matters etc.
The day will also focus on New Halls and consider layouts, provision of facilities etc
The Lecturer will be the NABMA Training Officer, Dennis Wardle, who has 42 years experience in all aspects of Local Authority Market functions.
