Birmingham celebrates the award of Open Market of Year. Birmingham City Council celebrated in style with the formal presentation of the Open Market of the Year Award .The achievement was marked by lots of coverage in the local and national media and by widespread recognition within the Council itself.Birmingam’s Chief Executive, writing to the authority’s 50,000 staff highlighted the success of the award and also the fact that the Bull Ring Market became the first market in the entire country to gain the Charter Mark Award.
