Pictured at the President’s Reception at the Blackpool NABMA Conference are newly elected President Councillor Gareth Jones together with the Mayor of Blackpool Councillor Robert Wynne and Margaret Eaton OBE of the Local Government Association.
The Blackpool Mayor extended a civic welcome to Blackpool to NABMA delegates and stressed the importance and value of Blackpool market activities which are a key part of the current programme of regeneration for the town. Councillor Wynne stressed that “Blackpool is going through a major regeneration phase and we are determined to maintain our position as one of Britain’s major conference towns and one of Europe’s top holiday resorts.”

NABMA was delighted to welcome Councillor Margaret Eaton OBE to conference. As one of the most respected and lead councillors in the Local Government Association her attendance was a significant recognition of the growing policy interest in NABMA.
