WUWM Retail Meeting

A delegation from the United Kingdom, recently visited Paris to attend a Retail Section meeting of the World Union of Wholesale Markets. This delegation included Nabma, Nmtf, Borough Market and Liverpool Markets who met representatives of Retail Markets and traders organisations from Holland,France, Germany Spain and Southern Ireland.
The above picture shows UK delegates at the Wholesale Market in Rungis, Paris, a visit which took place on the morning of the meeting. The Market covers 628 acres and sells top quality Fruit, Vegetables, Fish, Meat and Poultry Products, and has over 6.7million vehicles enter and leave the Market a year.
The meeting itself was held to be very successful with delegates from all countries agreeing on a way forward to try to influence future European Legislation and Directives that could affect the way Markets are administered in the future.
