NABMA celebrates launch of Policy Framework
Thursday 21 June 2007
Councillor Chris Rosling-Josephs of Sheffield, Vice-Chair of the NABMA Retail Forum, who attended the launch of the Policy Framework document at Westminster this week with the All Party Markets Parliamentary Group expressed his delight at the support given at the Reception.
Councillor Rosling -Josephs is pictured with Harriet Harman Minister of State, Ministry of Justice, Malcolm Veigas, Bradford MDC Council and Ann Coffey MP, Secretary of the All Party Markets Parliamentary Group.
“Over 50 MPs from all parties attended the Reception and we were able to talk with them about the important contribution made by markets to a number of mainstream agenda items. Many of the MPs seemed genuinely interested in the welfare of their local markets and I am sure that the Reception and the launch of the Policy Framework document will do much to enhance the standing of markets. This is another example of the work being done by NABMA and other market organisations to increase the national profile of markets. I look forward to building on this excellent start over the next 12 months”.
