Friday 07 December 2007

Bill Olner M.P for Nuneaton recently attended the Westminster reception arranged by the Institute of Place Management.

In congratulating the first recipients of the awards he exclusively spoke to NABMA President, Councillor John Gareth Jones on his long standing endorsement for Markets and his recognition of the vital role they play in meeting so many economic and community targets and aspirations.

Bill Olner congratulated his local markets manager Alan Ottey on the quality of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Markets and his recent success in gaining membership of the Institute of Place Management “Markets are part of our community life and should be supported and valued. I would urge local authorities to reinvest in this vital community asset and provide quality sustainable markets for present and future generations. We are the custodians of significant local assets and it is our duty to ensure that they survive well into the future”.
