NABMA President Councillor Gareth Jones today attended the Oswestry Cattle Auctions Fatstock Show. The President is pictured with Mikey Rowlands the breeder of the Supreme Champion and Roy Jones, the Chairman of Oswestry Cattle Auctions.

The Supreme Champion was a Limousine Heifer, 17 Months 8 days old that weighed in at 550 Kg sold by Mr. J. Mikey Rowlands of Dolwen, Newtown to Mr Sid Hodgekiss, Butchers of Ellesmere for £2.20per Kg.

Councillor Gareth Jones praise Oswestry Cattle Auctions for their commitment to retain the livestock tradition in Oswestry. “The Cattle Auctions have ambitious plans to redevelop the existing market and this is important to local agricultural that impacts so much on the regeneration agenda for market towns like Oswestry. The show was an excellent showcase for the local farming industry and I congratulate the breeders, auctioneers, judges and the local community who make the annual show such a significant success.”
