PEDLARS UPDATE
Tuesday 19 September 2006
Following a recent meeting at Birmingham when several Nabma members expressed an interest in promoting local legislation relating to pedlars and unlawful street trading it now seems that because of the tight parliamentary timetable and the need to consider the impact on neighbouring authorities any proposals will need to be pursued next year rather than this year. Against this background Nabma intends to reconvene a meeting of interested members in January next year to consider the matter in further detail and urges any interested member to use the interim period to consult and , particularly during the Christmas season, obtain evidence of the problem. Details of the January meeting will be provided in due course.
