Nabma is delighted to announce a first within the markets sector in the form of a mentoring scheme established with grateful thanks to Birmingham City Council.

Matt Kelly, Head of Markets at Birmingham has offered the unique opportunity for any Nabma member, who has made a recent Market staff appointment to send that officer, for up to one week, to Birmingham to shadow within the Markets Department. This will provide a first class training and mentoring opportunity to gain invaluable core skills and knowledge with one of the UK’s largest and most proactive market services.

Nabma President Councillor Don Davies, Carmarthenshire admitted his delight at the initiative. “Nabma is continually looking to add to its range of diversity of services and this link up with Birmingham demonstrates partnership and innovation. We thank Matt Kelly and Birmingham for a most generous gesture that hopefully will launch a Nabma mentoring programme nationwide”.
