The APPG received a progress report on the efforts to repeal the Pedlars legislation and review the legislation on street trading. Disappointed at the failure of the DTi to provide support on the Pedlars legislation Lord Graham is seeking a meeting with DTi Minister Gerry Sutcliffe with a view to identifying appropriate Ministers in the ODPM and Home Office to take this important issue a stage further. Once again we have found ourselves in the situation of markets falling between different governments departments with no one prepared to take responsibility for moving things forward. Nabma will continue to press the issue whenever the opportunity arises and is confident that success will ultimately be achieved.
