Yesterday’s seminar was a great success. Grateful thanks are extended to all our speakers and Oswestry for their excellent organisation of the event. Congratulations must go to all the entrants in the Market of the Year and particularly Bury, the eventual winners, for their excellent entry.

Thomasina Miers, pictured with Nabma President, Councillor Angela Newton, made a great job of the presentation and her enthusiasm for markets greatly impressed the audience. I hope, with the support of KPR, we can continue the Market of the Year for an initial three year period.

A lot of information, particularly on healthy eating, came out of the seminar, and it is vitally important that we use the rest of the year in thinking about how markets can meet the agenda of markets and modern living.

Nabma will be using its Forums and Annual Conference to continue this theme and through the provision of information and practical advice help to all our members address the range of issues highlighted yesterday.
