Nabma says Farewell

Members of Nabma paid respects to their President Elect, Councillor Bill Timoney JP of Glasgow City Council at his funeral held at The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Cardonald, on the 15th February 2006.

Nabma was represented by Councillor John Ahern, Derby City Council, Graham Wilson, Chief Executive of Nabma and Dennis Wardle of Derby City Council.

Councillor John Ahern confirmed that “the Nabma representatives received a warm welcome from Bill’s family and the condolences of Nabma were very much appreciated by his wife Patricia and family”.

The church was filled with a cross section of Glasgow organisations representing the great esteem which Bill Timoney was held in by the whole community.

Nabma President, Councillor Angela Newton added her own condolences to those already expressed by other representatives “Bill was well respected by everyone within Nabma and he led the Wholesale Forum with dignity and purpose. We will miss him greatly particularly when we come to Glasgow for our conference in September”.
