NABMA Mourns its President-Elect

Thursday 09 February 2006

It is with great sadness that NABMA has received the news of the death of its President Elect, Councillor Bill Timoney JP of Glasgow City Council.

NABMA President Councillor Angela Newton confirmed

“that NABMA is stunned by this news. Bill has been a staunch supporter of NABMA and markets for many years and the Chairman of our Wholesale Forum. He was held in high esteem by everyone who had the fortune to know and meet him. Bill had promoted the value of markets and NABMA throughout the World Union of Wholesale Markets and extensively within the UK. Our thoughts and prayers at this time are with his wife and family”

The funeral is to be held at The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Lourdes Avenue, Cardonald in Glasgow on Wednesday 15th February at 9.55 a.m. followed by funeral mass.
