Partnership Working
In addition to working with organisations in the markets industry, NABMA also reaches out to work with partner organisations who have an interest in the future of markets.
NABMA has developed protocols with both Action for Market Towns and NALC who share ideas and also develop, as appropriate, a shared agenda.
NABMA’s relationship with NALC is demonstrated very visibly in the Annual Local Council’s Seminar. This has grown over the last three years and now has become an established part of the NABMA calendar. Last year’s event was held at Shrewsbury and was attended by over seventy delegates from local councils across the country. It proves an excellent way of providing information and resources to local councils and also helping them consider whether they are able to take on the challenge of operating a market in their local community.
This year’s event is being held in Stratford-Upon-Avon on the 1st July 2011 and details of the programme and other relevant information can be found by contacting NABMA at (Enable Javascript to see the email address)
NABMA has reciprocal arrangements for sharing information with Action for Market Towns and NABMA has assisted in providing advice to Action for Market Town members on matters relating to their markets.
